How to make fitness a life long, positive part of yours and your child’s life – Part 1

How to make fitness a life long, positive part of yours and your child’s life – Part 1!

The statistics of Childhood Obesity, and overweight are STAGGERING and we all know the
importance of daily exercise and an active lifestyle, but how much exercise should a
child get and what kind?

To answer this question, the first comprehensive exercise guidelines for kids were
published by the National Association for Sport & Physical Education.

The guidelines, illustrated much like the familiar “Food Guide Pyramid,” recommend
a hierarchy of essential daily activities for children.

The total time of activity should be at least 60 minutes per day, but ideally children
should exercise up to several hours.

As long as your children have adequate rest and are enjoying themselves, more is
definitely better.

So, it’s ESSENTIAL to have your children involved in activities that focus on “keeping
them moving”, and aren’t overly susceptible to being “boring” quickly!

The KarateBuilt Martial Arts program is organized with FITNESS FIRMLY in mind!

Our curriculum is segmented so that student’s are constantly exposed to new, and
more and more exciting, motivating material, that never gets “boring”!

We’re VERY proud to say that this is the reason we have students who’ve been with us for
MANY years, and who have made a fit healthily lifestyle, part of their every-day life!

Sincerely,

Karate
