How to make fitness a life long, positive part of yours and your child’s life – Part 3

How to make fitness a life long, positive part of yours and your child’s life – Part 3!

The next level of the Fitness “Pyramid” is segmented into the Active Aerobics group
and the Active Sports and Recreation group.

The Active Aerobics group is what adults would consider to be “Aerobics.”

Cardiovascular benefits are the primary focus at this level. For a child these activities
would include swimming, bicycling, skating, and just plain running around.

Remember to let your children set their own pace.

Each KarateBuilt Martial Arts class has varying levels of cardiovascular training that may
include warm up exercises, sparring, and repetitive technique practicing.

The Active Sports and Recreation group includes participation in organized activities
involving teams or the whole family.

When it comes to fitness goals, the principles of exercise that children learn early in
life will significantly impact their adult lives as well.

When your child is involved in an organized activity there is a responsibility or
commitment to the “group” or “team” which increases the likelihood of routine exercise.

The KarateBuilt Martial Arts program not only provides the organized structure to increase your child’s awareness of physical fitness, but it is a benefit that can truly be shared by the
whole family.

Although the martial arts is not defined as a “team” sport, internal groups within the
school as well as the techniques being practiced together can foster a team spirit that
can match the enthusiasm of any championship team.

Sincerely,

Karate
