An Amazing Family Karate Black Belt!
I wanted to share this! I love this BLACK BELT STORY from Mr. Leonard Means (now he’s a 4th degree Black Belt) – both of his kids are Black Belts and he’s been a nationally certified instructor for 5 years:
Taekwondo holds a special place in me. It is an activity I share with my daughter and friends. It has helped me become who I am. It has shown me how to improve myself physically and mentally. I have taken the knowledge gained and put it into use at work and at home. My third degree belt says Father, Teacher, Student. I am a dad to my children first and I am also a teacher to my children, but also a teacher in taekwondo and my profession. I impart the knowledge I have learned to other adults and children. As a student, always learning and always having the thirst for knowledge. Taekwondo has combined all of these things to make me grow to be a better person.
Taekwondo means friendship. Meeting new people and making new friends. Friends who push me to do better and more in life. Friends who do not allow me to get away with an “OK” performance. It is about having friends who encourage me when necessary and correct me without malice.
Thanks Mr. Means!
Sincerely,
Sr. Master Greg Moody, Ph.D.
