Back To School time with Martial Arts
It’s Time to Go Back to School!!
I hope you had an incredible summer! Now that it’s getting cooler (ok well at least it’s gettng nearer the time when it will eventually get cooler) you need to start planning for the fall…
You have a lot of options at this time of year, but KarateBuilt Martial Arts (featuring Karate for Kids and the Black Belt Academy) is a lot more than you expect… I could say this all day but like you hear all the time… “the proof is in the pudding”…. on how Karate can help with school… so just to let you know how things work and so you can try it out…
Here are just some things that KarateBuilt Martial Arts will do for you or your child for back to school:
- Physical Fitness: There are lots of ways to workout and get in shape and frankly they all work to a degree. The difference between our activity and others is that people actually stick with it! If you like doing martial arts you’ll see that the progress you make is measurable (unlike running on a treadmill) and you achieve new skills along with better coordination, conditioning, stamina, balance and flexibility!
- Self-Confidence: For any age student gaining the skills to defend yourself is a primal need. In addition to this however, continuous reinforcement and improvement in skill level across all areas of your life builds real confidence. Not “artificial confidence” just because someone tells you how good you are – but YOU know how good you are because you can see yourself grow. KarateBuilt BUILDS you!
- Self-Discipline: We know that people who set goals and stick with them get 10 to 100 TIMES more success in their life (read Jim Rohn and others). Self-Discipline is the ability to carry through on your goals through adversity and difficult times. KarateBuilt Martial Arts builds Self-Discipline – every time you come to class, every time you reach for a higher achievement and for some… when they earn a Black Belt and the self-discipline that comes with it!
- Safety: Of course safety is a critical component of any martial arts program. At KarateBuilt Martial Arts you are going to learn efficient ways (easy to remember) to protect yourself against the 12 most common attacks as judged by the FBI. In addition for kids (and adults too) the award winning and internationally recognized bullying prevention, abduction and “when bullying turns violent” training is critical to learn for the most common danger (bullying – and that’s not just for kids) and the more severe danger (abduction)
All four of these benefits from learning martial arts at KarateBuilt Martial Arts are just the beginning – what we find is it takes only about 30 days to start seeing these benefits!
